How to pause or cancel your YouTube TV subscription – the streamable

Whether you’re upset by YouTube TV’s battle with NBCU or just want to try a new service, it’s easy to suspend or cancel your subscription. We’ll walk you through the process with pictures.

Pause your subscription keeps your channel programming preferences and everything on your DVR until you return. (Recordings will expire. You will need to set a return date when you take a break.

Cancelation your subscription will erase your DVR and preferences, so make sure you are done with YouTube TV before choosing this option.

  1. On a desktop browser, click the circle with your photo in the upper right corner.

  2. Click on Settings.

  1. Click on Manage next to Basic Plan.
  1. On this screen, you can choose to cancel or pause. If you want to cancel, click to cancel. If you want to take a break, just move the slider – this will determine when your billing will resume. When you’re happy, hit the nail on the head Pause.
  1. You are ready.

You will receive a confirmation email to your registered address. In the case of a suspended subscription, the subject line will be “Your YouTube TV subscription will be suspended”

Hi (Your Name),

Your subscription will be suspended from September 30, 2021 and will resume on January 20, 2022. You will not be billed during this period. Enjoy YouTube TV until September 30, 2021. We look forward to welcoming you again!

When you return, your current library, account settings, and notifications will resume as before. (As always, all registrations older than 9 months will expire.) The accounts of all family members linked to your subscription will also be suspended during this period.

If you want to reactivate your subscription sooner, log into tv.youtube.com on a computer and click Manage Subscription.
