Apply to be a Poll Clerk, Earn $ 200 Election Day Allowance – County of Union, New Jersey

The $ 200 allowance applies to Union County election officers on Election Day 2021, Tuesday, November 2.

Union County, NJ – Residents of Union County interested in helping voters at polling stations on election day this year still have time to apply to become election officers. Poll workers will earn $ 200 for the day, from 5:15 a.m. to the close of polls at 8 p.m. on polling day, Tuesday, November 2.

Poll workers provide essential services on polling day, ensuring that every eligible voter has the opportunity to exercise their constitutional right to vote.

Any Union County resident who is 18 years of age or older and registered to vote in Union County can apply to become an electoral officer.

No experience is necessary. Experienced and new poll workers must attend a mandatory and paid training session, electronic polling logs will be used for the first time on polling day.

Ballot candidates can apply online or by using a paper nomination form.
